done? now get this: the evaluation people just called and scheduled us for Monday! Yeah, thats right. THIS monday. There was a cancellation! Can you believe it!!
That is wonderful! I remember it taking us 2 months to get Leona finally evaluated! She was diagnosed with Sensory Processing Disorder, which is on the PDD spectrum. They wanted to diagnose her with Autism as well, but I said I did not want a formal diagnosis because I just don't feel she has it! Even so, with SPD, she was able to get all her home therapies started, and after 7 months of those, and her new "sensory diet" she is doing much better!
